About the role

Anaqua is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to join the platform team that owns the foundations the rest of engineering builds on. You'll build the shared microservices and Spring Boot libraries that other teams depend on, working closely with Java and Google Cloud Platform infrastructure.

What you'll do

Build and maintain shared microservices and Spring Boot libraries used across engineering

Own platform-level reliability and performance for foundational services

Partner with product engineering teams to understand and support their infrastructure needs

Contribute to platform architecture and technical standards

Support the team's broader modernization of Anaqua's Java platform on GCP

What we're looking for

5 - 7+ years of relevant experience

Strong Java and Spring Boot experience in a platform/shared-infrastructure context

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services

Experience building and maintaining shared libraries or internal developer tooling

Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems

Production ownership mindset with a focus on reliability for services other teams depend on

Nice to have

Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration on GCP
