About the role
BrowserStack is hiring a proactive Datacenter Operations Engineer to support its Navi Mumbai datacenter and test lab infrastructure, with a primary focus on maintaining Linux, macOS, and mobile device fleets (Android and iOS). Unlike traditional datacenter roles centered on server hardware, this position heavily emphasizes OS-level troubleshooting, device provisioning, command-line operations, and mobile endpoint lifecycle management.
What you'll do
Deploy, configure, monitor, and maintain local Linux and macOS endpoints and test rigs using CLI utilities
Manage, provision, and troubleshoot onsite mobile hardware fleets including Android and iOS test platforms
Manage physical rack infrastructure, including cabling, Wi-Fi Access Points, and Power Distribution Units
Track, manage, and resolve Level 2 technical support tickets end-to-end within Jira, ensuring SLA compliance
Create and update Standard Operating Procedures and infrastructure workflows in Confluence
What we're looking for
2 - 4+ years of relevant experience
2-4 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or datacenter/lab support roles
Strong hands-on proficiency with Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL/Debian) and macOS via Command Line Interface
Demonstrable experience managing and troubleshooting Android and iOS devices at scale in an enterprise or lab setting
Solid understanding of IP networking, TCP/IP, VLANs, Wi-Fi AP placement, and physical connectivity
Direct operational experience using Jira for ticket tracking and Confluence for documentation
Nice to have
Hands-on scripting experience in Bash, Python, or automation toolsets like AnsibleExperience with Mobile Device Management software (Jamf, Workspace ONE, Intune)Familiarity with enterprise productivity suites like Google Workspace
