About the role
HighLevel is hiring a Principal Product Manager to define the next generation of its Conversation AI platform - AI agents that answer questions, qualify leads, book appointments, and hand off to humans across SMS, email, WhatsApp, and social messaging channels. This senior IC role owns long-term strategy, architecture, quality systems, and the commercial model needed to make AI agents dependable across millions of real customer interactions.
What you'll do
Define and drive the long-term product vision, strategy, and architecture for Conversation AI
Own the complete system - agent creation, prompts, knowledge, actions, routing, testing, and APIs
Build a scalable evaluation framework covering grounded accuracy, safety, and conversation quality
Partner with Engineering and AI leadership on LLM orchestration, retrieval, latency, and cost
Partner with Finance on usage-based pricing, agency rebilling, AI costs, and gross-margin targets
What we're looking for
12++ years of relevant experience
12+ years of product management experience owning complex B2B SaaS, AI-agent, CRM, or platform products
Prior experience as a Principal PM, Staff PM, Lead PM, or equivalent senior IC on a business-critical product
Strong understanding of AI-agent product design - the difference between language generation and dependable task execution
Technical fluency to make credible decisions with engineering on LLM orchestration, retrieval, and evaluation
Strong systems thinking connecting conversations, contacts, workflows, and billing into one coherent product
Nice to have
Experience building production AI agents that use tools, APIs, or structured actionsExperience with RAG/knowledge platforms involving embeddings, vector retrieval, and re-rankingExperience with messaging infrastructure - SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, web chat
