About the role

Lytx is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to craft and build firmware applications on embedded Linux platforms that power its IoT devices - cameras, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and sensors. You'll implement the complete software development lifecycle from conceptualization through integration, working cross-functionally with Product Management, Hardware, and Server Software teams.

What you'll do

Implement the complete software development lifecycle - conceptualization, requirements, design, implementation, integration

Work cross-functionally with Product Management, Hardware, and Server Software teams

Work with quality assurance engineers to develop testing procedures, programs, and documentation

Build firmware applications on embedded Linux platforms powering camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and sensor devices

What we're looking for

2++ years of relevant experience

Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent

2+ years of experience with embedded Linux systems and user space development in connected products or video applications

Strong programming and debugging skills in C++

2+ years of experience in embedded security (OpenSSL, hardware acceleration for crypto) or Edge AI/ML model integration

Understanding of IPC, interrupts, and multithreading
