About the role
Meesho is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead its Data Platform team, owning the architecture and evolution of a petabyte-scale Data Lakehouse and Self-serve Analytics Platform. You'll drive technical roadmap and architecture, define SLOs/SLAs for data pipelines, and manage engineers end-to-end while championing robust data security and DPDP compliance.
What you'll do
Drive technical roadmap and architecture for platform efficiency and automated data governance
Define and monitor SLOs/SLAs for data availability, latency, and quality
Collaborate with Analytics, Data Science, and Product teams to drive adoption of the Self-Serve Platform
Champion robust data security standards (RBAC, PII masking, encryption) for DPDP compliance
Manage engineers end-to-end, owning project delivery and product scalability
What we're looking for
8++ years of relevant experience
8+ years of overall professional experience, including 2+ years managing software development teams
Proven ability to develop and implement distributed systems and platforms at scale
Expertise in Scala, Java, Python, or Go
Proficiency in Apache Spark, including platform-based optimization on batch and streaming workloads
Deep experience with Open Table Formats (Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, or Apache Hudi)
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP/AWS
Nice to have
Experience managing infrastructure with Kubernetes and HelmUnderstanding of workflow orchestration (Apache Airflow) including dynamic DAGs and backfillsExperience implementing centralized data access control layers (e.g. Apache Ranger)
