About the role
Toku is hiring a Senior Staff Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - the most senior individual-contributor role within its Infrastructure team, working alongside the VP of Infrastructure. You'll set technical direction, architecture, and engineering standards across AWS and Azure infrastructure platforms, driving greater automation, Infrastructure as Code, and engineering maturity across the team.
What you'll do
Design, build, and evolve secure, scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure
Act as senior technical authority for Infrastructure, owning key architectural decisions and engineering standards
Own and improve Terraform-based infrastructure provisioning with reusable, tested modules
Architect, operate, and improve production Kubernetes environments, particularly Amazon EKS
Mentor infrastructure engineers through hands-on collaboration and technical design reviews
What we're looking for
8++ years of relevant experience
Extensive hands-on experience designing, building, and operating production cloud infrastructure at Staff/Senior Staff/Principal IC depth
Strong hands-on AWS architecture across EC2, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, and multi-account environments
Strong hands-on Azure capability, ideally including Azure Landing Zone architecture and governance
Advanced hands-on Terraform experience - reusable modules, state management, multi-environment patterns
Strong hands-on Python and/or Go for infrastructure automation and tooling
Nice to have
Experience with GitOps technologies (ArgoCD, Flux) and HelmExperience with policy-as-code tools (OPA, Sentinel)Experience with FinOps or cloud cost-management toolingBackground in telecom, CPaaS, or data-residency-sensitive environments
