About the role

Webgility is hiring a Senior Staff Engineer to be one of the senior-most individual contributors driving a shift toward agentic capability across its ecommerce accounting automation platform. You'll design and ship AI/agent-driven features - autonomous workflows that reduce manual reconciliation work for ecommerce sellers - working flexibly from India with occasional in-person collaboration.

Design and ship AI/agent-driven features and autonomous workflows

Operate as a senior-most individual contributor shaping technical direction

Collaborate with product and engineering leadership on where agentic AI adds the most customer value

What we're looking for

8++ years of relevant experience

Senior-level backend/AI engineering experience, ideally at staff or senior-staff level

Hands-on experience building agentic AI systems - LLM agents, tool-use pipelines, or orchestration frameworks

Strong software engineering fundamentals across backend systems and integrations

Comfortable operating as a senior IC driving technical direction, not just executing tickets

Ability to work flexibly (remote-first, with occasional in-person collaboration expected quarterly)
