About the role
Cleo is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to build its React Native mobile app, working within a cross-functional product squad of frontend engineers, designers, UX writers, backend engineers, and data analysts to improve users' financial health. You'll ship features in Cleo's distinctive tone of voice, using AB-tests and feature flags to iterate quickly on a fast-growing, profitable AI fintech product.
What you'll do
Work within a cross-functional product squad to develop features that improve users' financial health
Build and maintain Cleo's React Native application, shipping experiences in the company's distinct tone of voice
Write automated tests alongside code to enable confident, frequent releases
Use AB-tests, feature flags, and other tools to iterate quickly on live product features
Participate in the weekly release rota for shipping to the Apple and Google app stores
What we're looking for
5++ years of relevant experience
5+ years of industry experience using React Native/React with TypeScript
Strong experience or genuine passion for mobile app development
Comfort writing automated tests alongside code to enable confident, frequent shipping
Experience using data to investigate user journeys, detect problems, and optimise product experience
Willingness to participate in a rota for weekly app releases to the Apple and Google app stores
Nice to have
Familiarity with Ruby on Rails (Cleo's backend monolith) or Python for ML servicesExperience with AWS-hosted, Heroku-deployed production environments
