About the role

Zilch is hiring an Engineering Manager to act as a servant leader for two agile teams, guiding technical direction, mentoring engineers, and contributing hands-on while supporting the Head of Engineering and CTO. You'll balance delivery cadence and quality against technical debt, removing obstacles for your teams at one of Europe's fastest-growing fintech companies.

What you'll do

Lead two agile teams implementing features that deliver significant customer impact

Design technical aspects and architecture of user stories and delivery plans

Prioritise technical debt alongside product deliverables for the best outcomes

Support the Head of Engineering and CTO, interacting with senior business stakeholders

Own overall delivery cadence and quality, removing obstacles and bottlenecks for your teams

What we're looking for

3++ years of relevant experience

Bachelor's and/or master's degree

3+ years of experience leading and managing software engineering teams, including coaching on agile practices

Experience with Scrum, Kanban, or other iterative delivery methodologies

Previous hands-on development experience in Java, React, C#, or similar

2+ years communicating with and supporting key business stakeholders

Nice to have

Experience in solutions architectureExperience managing cloud environments (AWS or equivalent)Experience managing DevOps, Platform, or SRE teams
